perhaps you should post this into the FAQ thread that is already sticky'ed?

Yeah, I'll post a link there. Or maybe put the whole thing there when it has enough info. It just seems like people's additions would muddy up the content of the Faq thread.

Yeah, I could only wish that Aurora 4 liter, or the northstar 4.6 would bolt up to my 4l30......life would be better...

So, what are you asking? What bolts to an MUA-5, or what Isuzu used engines have a GM bellhousing pattern?

--Dan

List of engines that can bolt to a first gen isuzu tranny with gm bolt pattern. Maybe, common isuzu engine swaps, including some others just for a baseline. I added others just because it seems like people often ask -- might as well put all of them in the same place. let me know if you think this should have a different title, or if you think this would be useful.

No, it was just the 2.6 in the list of engines with the GM pattern that threw me.

Maybe add a column with what bellhousing pattern(s) the motors use. The 3.2/3.5 are dual pattern as well.

To add:
3800SC 240hp, 280 tq. '04 & up are 260 hp., same tq.

4.9 caddy V8. 200 hp, 280-300 tq depending on who you talk to.

GM 3.4 DOHC v6 210 hp, 215 tq

So did I read this wrong? Or are the 3.2(early SOHC), dual bolt pattern trans?

Like, the Northstar will bolt up????????

I know they are 60* bolt pattern....but...

Don't get too excited yet. I'm just putting together a list, so I rely upon other people's input. Some stuff may be wrong, get me? If something's wrong let me know and I'll change it.

In the meantime, i'll remove the early 3.2 bolt pattern until someone tells me what it is.

Um, didn't I just answer that a few posts up? Yes, the early 3.2 and the DOHC 3.2/3.5 all have a dual bellhousing pattern. One of them is the GM 60 degree v6 pattern. Yes, the 4L30-E uses that pattern and a Northstar or any other motor with the 60 deg bell will bolt to it.

Torque converter/flexplate issues may need to be worked out depending on the combo.

The first engine on the list, the 3.2 SOHC, should be the DOHC. The '93-97 DOHC is the one that makes 190 HP, while the SOHC just...well...it leaves you wanting to swap.
Sure, it's splitting hairs, but that's what I do. :D

I guess some BMW engines would go onto the 4l30e, but that would be :rainbow:
