My yj has been idleing high and low at start up, and when i am in nuetral. I checked the error codes and it flashed 24 (Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) sensor or circuit) and code 33 (Air conditioning clutch relay). Can i remedy the tps problem, by just replacing the part, or would it be an electrical problem? Any input would be great.

Just for the record its a 93 yj _ 4.0 manual with 140k

The TPS is an electrical problem. First step would be to replace the sensor. The AC code shouldn't be affecting your idle. Does the AC work?

Thanks for the quick reply. I dont even have a/c, thats why it seems strange that its flashing that code. As for the tps, I suppose ill just swap in a new one and see what happens

When the engine controler does not see an AC relay it sets the code,no AC, no relay , always a code.Make sure the conector for the TPS is pluged in tight ,if it is replace the TPS.
