ok i have put this 99 vortec 350 in my jeep and i am about ready to have exhaust put on it. i am not going to run a cat converter ( i am running a post cat o2 simulator) and i plan to run only one muffler. my question is how should i have them set it up and which muffler. i like the dynomax bullets for their size but they are a race muffler and i was wondering how loud they were. anyone know? as for the pipes i was thinking 2 1/4" - 2 1/2" pipes from each manifold and when they come together go into a 3" pipe and then through a 3" in 3" out muffler. any ideas are greatly appreciated.

If you want to run two 2-1/4" pipes to a single muffler and then a single 3" pipe out the back, the Flowmaster 524553 is what you're after. This will allow all the side-to-side mixing and pressure balancing to occur in the muffler can, which is a lot less restrictive than a Y-pipe. Just my 0.02
