I used the 2" exhaust wrap around my headers all the way back to mufflers and wrapped the mufflers with a heat shield blanket material that's about 1/8" thick. You can rest your hand on any part except the headers and its just warm to the touch. I ordered it all from Summit, this is the wrap part #DEI-010110 and here is the heat screen blanket part # DEI-010401 both made by DEI Engineering.
exhaust temps in buggys?
what do you guys that are building buggys doing about exhaust?.
The way mine is ran, its right under my feet, and with expanded metal floor. I'm pretty sure its going to be damn hot.
would exhaust wrap work to keep the heat down? my main concern about using wrap is how long is it going to last with water, mud, etc? Or is there something better to use other than exhaust wrap?
