Curious as to if i can install an inline pump and still use my internal water pump at the same time or would i need to gut the internal one and remove the thermostat?
My goal here is to not overheat pushing on 5.29s with brand new 35x12.50x15r
Tires on steep highway hills going 40mph .
4runner runs super cold crawling ,in town ,and normal highway but say going up hw80 to Fordyce or hw20 to grass valley it does not like it even just putting along .
Should i try running an all aluminum 3row with dual electric fans stock fan and stock water pump? Should i just v6 or v8 swap it?

Make sure your radiator is clean first. Probably is if it doesn’t get hot any other time. Electric fans are always an upgrade in my opinion. I dont think an in-line will help you if your radiator isn’t relocated.

It sounds to me like you may be lean under load? Just spitballing.

V6 radiator is a bolt in do that. Make sure clutch fan is working as it should. Throw a new t-stat in. Double check timing.
