I've got a Beretta Neos that I bought new in September of 2010. I've run approximately 4500 rounds through it since I brought it home. This morning, as I was out plinking with it, it shot the extractor out of the slide, halting the cycle of operation. I was able to recover the plunger and spring, but the extractor claw is lost to this world. Getting a replacement isn't a problem (even if Beretta won't send me one gratis, Brownell's has them for less than $5).

My main concern is why did this occur? I'm guessing that the claw was probably MIM (Metal Injection Molded), and it may have just disintegrated or something (hence, it's complete disappearance).

Has anyone else had this issue with a Neos?
