I recently went to purchase a lift kit for my 77 f150 and learned that in order to do this, I needed to change my tie-rod assembly from the inverted "Y" that I currently have to an inverted "T" system. I have not been able to find any kits that I can buy to do this. Is a junkyard my only hope? I don't even think I know what the "T" looks like. My truck currently has 33's and I'm just looking for enough lift for 35's, should I just get a body lift and save myself the $$ and the time? Or is it worth it for an actual lift? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you don't NEED to change it, its just the Y sucks, it has a lot of bump steer,
the get the T style, just take it from a 75 an older, its the one, where the tie rod goes stright from Kunckle to kunckle

If you want the factory stuff you can either talk to Wild Horses in Stockton,CA. Or you can go to any decent parts store and look throught their picture books... Or you can go to quite a few links on the web for aftermarket stuff...
