As if I don't have enough to do before Monday.... I get up this morning and hop in my DD/tow rig and WTF do I see? A crack about 8 to 10 inches long running across the middle of the windsheild starting at the passenger A pillar. WTF!!!!! :mad3: I just drove it last night up to the hardware store to get some fittings for my OBA and it wasn't there when I got out of it last night. Get in it this moring and there's a big old crack.

Nothing the $100 decutible won't handle, but still...........

OK, I've got a fresh tampon in..... all better now. :flipoff2:

Are there two rubicon rides going on?
There is a real one and a fake one. :flipoff2:

This is the 5th? annual Rubicon Rocksurfers Run put on by Nor Cal Scouts. The Anything Scout guys couldn't make it with us bacause of a schedule conflict so they are going up a week or two later. Contact Sean at Anything Scout for the other date and plans.

Need a little help here guys..... My Tahoe base camp may not materialize like I had originally planned. Since I'm coming in from the east, I want to park the tow rig & trailer on the Tahoe side and drive the Scout around to Loon. I'll be going all the way through back to Tahoe to load up. If my accommodations don't work out, I need some suggestions on where to park the tow rig and possible even camp a night or two. Anyone got any suggestions?

When do you think you are going to get into town?

Original plan is to leave Monday the 12th and arrive in Tahoe the afternoon/evening of the 14th. However, right now it is hinging on if I get everything done in time that I need to get done. There is a possibility that I may not get to leave until Tuesday the 13th. If I stick to my driving plan that would put me in Tahoe on the 15th, but I could modify my driving plan and possibly still make it there on the 14th. Nothing like having everything all planned out in advance, huh? :flipoff2:

Homewood Ski resort has a large parking lot that they keep boat trailers in during the summer. It's located next to Tahoma...
Might try calling them.
There's a few boat places in Sunnyside as well.

It's about a 5-10 min drive to the trailhead on the tahoe side from there.
There are several campgrounds there as well...
Mid Sept, weeknights probably won't be a problem with campgrounds.

The Trailhead has room for tow rigs, & you could camp there as well for a night... Not sure on tow rig security while your gone however.

Casinos are cheap places to stay probably and I'm sure have plenty of room for your tow rig and trailer. Cal Neva is a cool place to lose money. ;) It's probably 20 minutes from the trail head area Mike is talking about. I'd stay at least one night in the casino just to make it part of your experience.

Do you think they'd be cool with me leaving my tow rig & trailer in the parking lot for 3 days while I'm on the trail?

Thanks Mike, I might have to look into the campground idea, however, it would suck to have to pay for a campground space for the weekend to have a place to park the tow rig/trailer when I'm not even going to be there. I've read too many horror stories about theft/vandalism, etc. done to people's tow rigs that were left at the trailhead. To me, that is not an option.

Or maybe.... I'll just wheel the tow rig and the Scout on the trialer through the 'con. That would solve everthing. :flipoff2:

Things are slowing down a bit... Ask them. It's a very small casino and the people there are very friendly IMO compaired to the big joints. Search Cal Neva in Yahoo or whatever.

And Tracy and I are driving up after work and heading in Friday evening. We will be looking for another rig to head in with. We'll be at the spillway at 8ish.
