Well the cage has always been a priority, but always seemed to get bumped to the bottom of the list. After seeing LAWMANS rig get destroyed in a slow roll the cage became top priority and I told myself I wouldn't go wheeling again until it was finished. All of the bends, and notching was done by Toyfamily ( Nick ). Cage turned out awesome, Nick did a great job. If anyone out there is in need of fab work, Nick is the man when it comes to that bender.... Thanks Nick !!!!!!!!

Looks really cool, the only thing I am wondering is how you still see the gauges in the dash? <IMG SRC="smilies/confused.gif" border="0"> I think that I would have left the padding off in that area for better visability.

used 1 3/4" 120 tubing, it is a two piece cage. Front half mounts to the rear hoop via slip system and bolts. I am going to have Nick bend me up couple more bars that will go overhead from front to rear. Front mounts retain 3) 1/2 bolts and the rear mounts retain 5) 1/2 bolts. You could use four bolts up front and tie into the frame through the body mount, but I decided not to due to my 3" body lift ) bolts are lond enough already. I don't know if Nick wants me to quote costs but I got a good deal...

I can still see the dash fine, I tried it with and without padding, didn't make much of a difference, so I went with the padding because it just looked cleaner.

I got the tubing at ABC Supply in Sac. I'm trying to perfect the cage making process so it takes some time so it's a reasonable price for a kit. In it was 4 plates (non drilled), two forward legs, a top crossbar (notched) and a two piece rear hoop with a inner tube for for sleeve (to either bolt or weld together) (for fit preferences)

projects like nurfs are, ready to weld on.

So are you going to tie into the stock rear roll bar with some stringers. I want to do the same to my runner but with 2" to match the rear bar. Hey Nick, how much to do it in 2" ?

Sorry, I don't have a 2" die, only 1 3/4" and 1 1/2". I could if you wanted 1 3/4. I am making a cage for my dad soon and am going to tie into the stock hoop (with 13/4) and I will post pics, then you can see what it'd look like.

What kind of time line you looking at? There's a guy over in Rio Linda that wants a motor/tranny that I've got. If it works out, maybe I'd bring it to him and buy a cage kit from you. Also by the looks of it, your dies are 7.5" radius, is that right. I'm 6'2" so I'm wondering how the head clearance is on the side bars.

The radius is 6.5 on the die. And it tucked all the way to the roof if you install it that way. Chopperman had 90's seats which are taller so he got them as high as poss and put a pad on it.
