So Ohio University College has a "graffiti wall" which students can decorate with graffiti.

The college's Republican chapter decided to use the wall to post some graffiti regarding the first amendment.

Liberals lost their minds! The University president issued an immediate apology. Students started demanding a police investigation and prosecution for the "threat" that they felt. Other students vowed to "beat the shit" out of the college's Republican chapter.

So what was so offensive to garner such hatred from the left?

Why is the left so threatened by truth?

No safe spaces in real life

Keep in mind that these same people that felt "threatened" by the 1st Amendment message on that wall are old enough to vote.

I will say this, though: "victimhood" has become the currency of political power within academia. I suspect that a lot of these "special snowflakes" are only complaining because it's the accepted way to accumulate power and political capital. They don't really feel threatened, but saying that they do confers status on them in the eyes of their peers. That said, at least some of the complainers really do feel threatened by the notion that they can't dictate what other people say.

Either group is dangerous. Those who actually feel threatened are nothing more than tyrants-in-waiting, and those who are playing the system for their own benefit aren't going to suddenly find reason once they graduate; they'll continue to play the same power games once they hit the workforce, and the current social climate will empower them. Even if you're the owner of your business, expect that both groups are going to attempt to use "civil rights" levers to force you to coddle them, and those who work for the big corporations are going to suffer under all kinds of workplace rules aimed at preventing the inevitable "civil rights" lawsuits. It's going to get ugly out there very soon.
