What's up guys! I'm a new member so hopefully I do this right, I got my 88 pickup when I was 16 and have been dumping money into it for a little over a year now. When I got it the truck was pretty ruff but a good platform. It had the 22re but 3 days after I got it we had our local mud bog and I ended up blowing the main seal out of it and blew the motor. Needless to say I don't mess with mud anymore. So after it sat for a while I finally got the 22r to throw in it.
If anyone can enlightenment me on how to post pics I have plenty of them from the day I got it to current state. Do I have to do it from a computer or can I do it on my cell phone? (Galaxy S5) thanks in advance!

Okay I'll give that a try. And yeah I really wish I could have kept the efi motor but it lost all compression and I really didn't have time to fool with it and the 22r came up and I couldn't pass up the deal, $325 and the guy guaranteed it. Let me post some pics of what all I've done to it so far and then I'll fill you in on what's next!

the long block between the 85+ efi and carb engines are the same, if you still have your stock setup swap it all on to your good block.

yeah but my wiring harness was a big mess and all cut up from the previous owner, honestly i dont see how it ran. but i have a weber on it and it run as if its fuel injected lol. im trying to post pictures but its saying im not allowed to for some reason... anyways ill go ahead and give the story of the truck and maybe it'll let me post some tomorrow.

i got the motor in drove it around for a while and started body work to get it ready to paint and after about two weeks i had it ready to spray. me and my dad single staged it and it turned out awesome, its a toyota red. then i got a job at ihop as a server and started saving money, this is one of those deals where my stuff isnt supported by mom and dad haha. but i got a 3" suspension lift and some procomp shocks then saved up for a while bought a new set of 33s. did some other odd ball stuff, 4runner buckets, blacked out all the chrome, stereo, flowmaster exhaust all that good stuff. now i have a parts truck and about $1400 in parts sitting in my bedroom for my sas, the parts truck is an 84 i picked up from a buddy. im planning on just doing a frame swap instead of an actual sas, it works better for me since i daily drive my truck so i can pretty much get my frame completely done and throw my body and motor/tranny in it. im gonna be doing chevy 63's in the rear using Skys kit and the rears up front. highsteer, billesteins shocks all the way around and hopefully ill be able to run a 37' tire. i'd say ive done pretty decent over a years time being 17 working at ihop lol but now i just gotta find the time to work on doing the swap. like i said hopefully i can get those pics up tomorrow
