Well, the axle is coming along s-l-o-w-l-y. All the coil and radius arm brackets are gone and ground smooth, and the three steering stops that came off with the coil mounts have been replaced with fabbed ones. The very bottoms of the radius arm mounts have been left in place, as these will help accurately position the leaf spring perches side-to-side and create a solid baseline for setting the castor angle. Next is cutting out the bottom of the pumpkin for extra clearance, then armor plating the diff and possibly fabbing a gusset (3"x3" square tubing) across the front of the whole housing. After all the cutting and welding is done I'll have the thing hot tanked.
The 80 birf is about 4-1/16" in diameter.
