9V, I think a set of 60 Series axles would be nice, especially if you splurge and get a used FF rear axle from Specter or Manafre.

Gear options are 3.70, 4.11, 4.56, 4.88 and 5.29's. The first two are factory (3.70s from 1981 to 1987, 4.11's from 1987 to 1990), the other three aftermarket. You're looking at about $250ish for aftermarket R&P + install kit.

The ideal (for strength + offroad use) 60 series setup would be an FJ62 front axle (1987-1990, came with a reinforced housing) and a non-USA full floater rear. You won't have to grind at all if you run a FF.

FJ62's came with anti-sway bars front and rear, which can be very nice in a daily driver.

I can't tell you the width of the spring perch offhand but they're very strong, I've never heard of anyone having a problem with them.

Bolt pattern for the axles is 6 on 5.5" which is very common, virtually ever wheel available comes in that pattern, I think you'll find that a welcome change! :)
