Looking for first hand user info on non-OME wagon lifts: pinnacle, smoky mountain, ironman, bds, whatever. What did you like, what did you hate, how do they perform, what was in the kit, what did you pay, are they sacking out? I'm looking to lift my 83fj60 2-3", probably run 33x12.50's and an additional 2" body lift. Run mild trails, pull an M416 trailer with camping support, and wheel with the family and dogs. Thanks for long drawn out discussion:) Alan in tornadoalley

Alan, if it were me I'd run the BDS lift. It's pretty cheap and real stout. Saw one on a '83 that gave it a little more than 3" when just put on. Also very well built looking springs...

I ran pinnacle springs on my 60 and I wasn't to happy, very stiff ride. Do a spring over with stock springs. If you have the tools and fabricateing skills, do it yourself it's cheaper.

I have the BDS kit on my 84 60 and it rides damn well given the fact I have 33 TSL SXs under it. It was fairly cheap and has served me very well for my truck. I really don't think you'll need a body lift for 33's either.

I am going SOA this year (sometime) and will be putting the stock springs back on (with an add-a leaf) because I wan to run 36s. Which means my kit will be for sale cheap... :D
