I have a Ford 5.0L and currently don't have a clue on what to do for my vss signal to the ECM (A9L MAF) I have looked and looked over the vast pages on the internet and can't find the answer to my problem.

I am currently running a 92 231 tcase with the stock 3 wire vss, now I have found out (correct me if I am mistaken) the the stock ford vss is a 8000ppm, and the stock jeep vss is a 16000ppm? I have heard its a 8000ppm this is were im getting screwed up.

Just wondering if anyone here has come up with an solution?

I have heard that with a manual when you come to a stop and you shift to neutral the motor with no vss input will go to idle right away and could stall the motor. I found out today that the jeep vss puts out 8000ppm signal and I know the 5.0 ecm needs a 8000ppm signal could I simply just do this here take the negative vss from the ecm and ground that then take the signal from the jeep vss and tie it into the positive vss from the ecm. would that work?

I have a 1995 5.0 HO, AODE transmission, and an Atlas transfer case. I bought an 8000 ppm signal converter from Dakota Digital and put it in the Atlas, which is wired to the computer. But.....

I have trouble with the engine dying out on the trail when I really put my foot in it and bounce the rig around on an obstacle. I'm beginning to think that the VSS is causing it.
