what would most likely be the axles under an 80's f150? wut width r these? and are they strong axles or something that should be swapped out

Not sure about the width but the front will be a D44 TTB and the rear will either be a 9" or a 8.8". They went to the 8.8" in the mid 80's. If the cover comes off the back then it is a 8.8". The 9" is stronger and the centersection comes out from the front.

The rear is definetly a 9". the 8.8 didn't come out til 83. The front is a POS TTB d44. You don't want it. IFS sucks..
