I am helping my friend install a t-18 and D20 into his CJ. It had a t-15 and d20 and he got the 18 from a j truck so it had the long input shaft, he gotthe short shaft kit from hicks 4x4 and it uses the ford short shaft. Then he used a t-150 bell housing.

problem is niether the t-18 or t-15 throw out bearings will fit over the new short bearing retainer. We know he needs a ford bearing but all we can find at stores are the clip on type (the clip on type fit but won't work with the clutch fork). and he needs the slide on type to use the stock t-15 clutch fork
any ideas on what ford bearing he needs? The parts guy thought he needed a ford clutch fork but it doesn't ride on the ball like the jeep fork does.
HELP
thanks alot if you can help

You gotta change the clutch fork and throw out bearing to the T150 type.

I'm doing the swap right now and ran into some really easy problems. I took plenty of photos and am going to do a write up very soon. I did end up using a t1-50 bellhousing and clutch fork and a 89 ford mustang clutch disc. More to come.
