Here's the axle tag from the front axle. Please help me. Is this a dana 61 (Which I know nothing about beyond seeing people here say stay away from them...why?) or a Dana 60? What is wrong with a 61.

Vehicle is a Ford F250 and the owner calls it heavy duty. It is not a Dana 44. Looks like a 60 rear too. He only want $2500 for the vehicle. Drivetrain is in great visual condition. Good price?

Sweet, your BOM says it's a Snow Fighter D60. Go get it! It's good to have an in with Dana.

it is the killer D60 for 78/79. It is NOT a D61. the '61 in the BOM is just part of the #'s sequence. Don't sweat it.

So does everyone agree $2250.00-2500.00 for this truck is reasonably good? It runs...351M C6 205 body is straight no rust 80,000 on engine, C6 redone 10,000 ago, rear gears done too
