my 22re runs good when the 02 is unhooked, when its hooked up, it runs like crap....spits and sputters.....its in my mixture i am sure, BUT the little screw on the AFM, i have adjusted to the point where i dont even know whats close......can ANYONE help me? i need to get it fixed this week......orignally kept gettin code 05 error codes and it got worse to where i really cant drive it when the 02 hooked up....unless i floor it to rev in between gears........HELP!!!

already did that <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">, BUT i did crank the air/fuel screw on the AFM in til it stopped nad then started backing it out til it ran smooth......i adjusted the AFM back to stock and i think that the screw it out about 3 or 4 turns........is this about right? i am doin all of this blind, BUT after 2 hours of driving and adjusting and driving and adjusting.....its alot better.....how can i tell when i get that screw where its supposed to be?

you had just better go get a new afm. sounds like you really screwed it up. junkyard!

i'll take some wendys, triple cheese burger large fries and a mister pibb!!!

actually its probably 95% fixed now, its just a turn either way and it would be right, BUT i wanna know HOW to know its right.......and ya'll show up at my house and we'll have a BBQ <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

check for a defective EGR valve or a plugged PCV valve ? <IMG SRC="smilies/question.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/question.gif" border="0">

well on my 85 i turn it clock wise for more rich and left for lean. try a couple notches to the left.
