How about, instead, you spend a wee bit more, and support the little guy... the guy who's maybe more local, trying to feed his family, and at the same time, doing something good for your 4-wheelers...

Maybe I'm just thinking of this from the other side of the fence, sicne I'm trying to start my own shop.

I'll second that... They told me that 4.88's for my TJ were UNNECESSARY and that I should just get 4.56's... I was like, 'well w/ the tire size I eventually want, I need 4.88's'. THEN the guy said, 'well they don't even make 4.88's for TJ's anymore.'

So I ordered 'em from Randy's R&P.

I agree with support the little guy if they deserve it. My closest shop is run by a couple of arrogant yuppie assholes that won't work on your rig unless it's a wrangler. Custom work? I don't think so. Unless it comes out of a box you're SOL. But you know what? It's been alot better for me in the long haul because I taught myself how to build everything I need. Now the only time I need a shop is to buy tires and shit

So does 4 Wheel assholes do any custom work? Hell they screw up the stuff they install out-of-box. I barely buy anything from them, got a strap at christmas just because price wa so good and came with free tow hooks. Now I have to convince my friend she shouldn't feel bad that she gave me a $50 gift certificate to them She meant well and thats what counts.

Oh and I think he was flipping off 4WPW not you, unless you work there and thats the point of your post

I think you're right because I called about those exact tires a while ago (last year) and got a quote of $800 shipped so $750 free shipping doesn't seem that great of a savings. Still a good price though

Just thought I'd try and let people know about a good deal, I thought that was what the bbs was about, sharing info. As far as suporting locals, the only local place that offered to get me Swampers was Les Schwab, and I guarentee I hate those guys more than any of you hate 4WPH, and there price was $215 per!!

With a retail price of $400e all you saved was $35 + shipping.
$400 price is for a 44x19.5x15

So any place that offers the tires with free shipping for less than $400 a tire can beat that price easy.
