for my 14bolt rear i just got some metal and started tacking it on, heating it, molding it, tacking it, heating it, molding it, over and over until i had added a strip of metal to the ridge that clears the ring gear i also added metal to both sides of it but if you have the thick d44 front cover alrady the metal to cover the ring gear ridge will be sufficiant. this is cheap and in my opinion better ( one less thing sticking out) than the bar versions. i used a strip of scrap diamond plate steel that i had laying around but any flat steel wil do. the bar versions look cool though.
