i finally got aff my lazy butt after my buddies said they wouldnt wheel with me unless i fixed all the leaks

the front crankshaft pulley has been wobblin, but i just thought it was bent a little. the leak finally got outta control last night(steady stream) and i have now discovered it is that seal behind the pulley. i havent torn into it yet, but the reason it was wobblin is because the pulley was only supported by the belts, there was nothing bolting it to the crankshaft!!!!!

has anyone had this happen and had the woodruff key or its spot on the crank, or crankshaft front(seal area) damaged from this??? i have my fingers crossed that a new seal and the bolted on pulley will fix...

I just changed mine because of a wobble too, but not the same one you have. Mine was seperating from the rubber part. You could possibly have some damage but you won't know until you get it apart. (and thanks for reminding me I still have to tighten that big bolt!)
