I have a chevy 350 in my cruiser and I am gettin sick of it dying at hard angles. I have an Edelbrock 750 on it (prob part of the prob). Wondering whos done fuel injection conversions, or somethin like holley projection. I heard Howell was good. Any advice would be nice

Stay away from Projection!!!!!
The best way to go is with a full Howell kit, or if you can find a complete set up off a 350 you can just buy a wire harness. Your best results will be with using all stock chevy parts and even if smog is not an issue still use all parts (except smog pump) even use the TBI distributor, and you will love it and gain MPG and power. Howell uses all stock chevy parts and he is pricey but well worth it.

Another option is getting a boneyard TPI setup. Did that on my '79 406 motor and it rocks. Used a Painless Wiring harness, all factory parts (and some 'slightly' modified parts) including 24lb/hr injectors, 52mm throttle body, etc., but even a stock setup would work nicely on even a mild 350. Can be had and done pretty inexpensively - I've seen TPI setups for around $300..........

i've done a few conversions using the gm 5.7l tbi (throttle body injection) with the howell harness and they work great! why not just buy a complete running tbi engine and bolt it in. saves you all the headache of trying to adapt parts and they can be had from $750 to $1100 complete with harness and computer from what i've seen.
good luck!

I run Holleys MPI with the 950 Commander on my 496 and love it. It's nice making a change on a laptop and not having to worry about burning a chip. Brian Wadall (winner of TTC01) runs the same Commander system. The Holley TBI systems usually run $1200.

Another place to check for factory TBI parts is: http://www.affordable-efi.com

I have never seen a Projection that works worth a damn. Most of the people I have seen with them would have been better off with a Quadrajet.

I had a projection system for about a month. The first time I unbolted the tbi it had a crack in the base plat so I set it back and went back to a carb. Now I have a newer blazer with the factory tbi and it works great.
