I have to replace the fuel pump on my fj40, 2F. Access to the pump looks cluttered; I have limited work area to work on this; Should I take the battery out for easier access...just wondering how much of a pain in the butt the replacement is .....any help would be appreciated..thanks, John
Replacing the pump is a piece of cake. I would remove the battery like you said to give you more room to work. Make sure you have a drip pan below the fuel pump incase some oil comes out.
