Lotsa talk about bringing the tank in from the top and fabbing a cover to make room for the rear pumpkin on full compression, would like to see some similar pic's. Looks do-able with a small body lift and proper bump stop placement any sucess storys or nightmares welcome. 86cj7/5.3/4l60e/d300/d60f/r

Well, its not a CJ, but this is what I did with the XJ.

Used the tomken skid, cut hole in floor, braced, and welded. Extended fuel and vent line done. Still have to enclose it.

Also, some of the local club members, have just moved the entire tank to the rear of the their TJ or CJ. No cutting what so ever, however they do not you a rear seat anymore.

Doug where did you source that clear line and what size is it? I am trying to find 1 3/4" and am having a tough time.
Fuel Safe , yes they're too spendy but they have several different types. Mine is 2.25". Have you tried McMaster-Carr?
