I've had the BII gas tank installed in my ranger for about 8 months or so now and the filler neck just hangs outta the fender well. The BII tank is in the rear of the truck and my gas door is up by the front of the bed. Is it safe to use PVC to lenghthen my filler neck hose so it will reach my old gas door? I only need about 2 and half feet of the pipe and gas will most likely not sit in the pipe. I'd like to use some sorta pipe that will not rust and put rust in the gas tank. Thanks for any advice

It's used in boats all the time. It's soft and nothing can rub on it and no IRON OXIDE (rust)can't happen!

Exaust pipe painted well on the outside will last a really long time. don't paint the inside (du) Or if you really wanna be cool (and cheeper) aluminised exaust pipe too. Copper may throw sulfate onto the gas system.
