Hi there,

just a quick question.

I have a ´95 with the standard 2.28:1 transfer case.

The new hiluxes (´98+) down here (=minitrucks) that come with the 140hp 2.4L (2RZFE) engine also have a different chain driven transfer case with a different low (2.5x:1).

Anybody know if the old "marlin-enabled" transfer would be a bolt on for the new trucks?

thx
Alfred

Up here in the states, the tacoma's with the 2.4, come with a chain driven t-case too, but it's on the wrong side of the vehicle, ie: it is a driver side drop. Marlin makes adapters to run a gear driven t-case reduction box in front of the chain driven t-case.
