I'm posting for a buddy who has a 94 YJ that needs an engine. I haven't found any opinions on Gearhead Jeep's engines, but if anyone has a lead for us (preferably in the S.F. Bay Area or Sacramento areas) he's lookin' to buy! Thanks for any advice.

ATK/Gearhead is supposed to have a decent rep from Jeepspeed,I have'nt heard any one comment who has one.

I have an atk engine in mine with around 10k, it runs great but i think a lifter went out on it or maby a bent push rod.. it rolled in a buddys jeep and sat for about 2 years before i swapped out my 2.5 for it. Im goin to tear into it next oil change and throw a cam, lifters and cromo push rods in it. But so far as quality it seems like a good engine.

Thanks for the info. He's looking for the non-H.O. inline-6, unless it would be an easy upgrade to the high-output? I suppose a search is in order, unless anyone would care to advise? :flipoff2:
