Stupid search doesn't work for me and the bible doesn't mention Dodge axles....

I've got a chance to pick up a GM Dana 60 front and a Dodge Dana 60 front. I plan on stuff the axle into the front of my CJ7.

I think I can get the Dodge front cheaper than the GM one.
What's the difference between the two axles?
Are the widths the same or is the Dodge narrower?
Do they both have 35 spline inners?

Thanks for the help!

I don't know about he GM one but!..... The front Dodge is expensive for parts. The rotor can not be bought seperately from the hub. They cost $459.95 ea side from the cheapest place I found. Also, the spindles I looked all over for and found one NOS part for $192.00. That was way cheap. The rest of the world wants $360-475.95 ea. Bearing sets are relatively cheap at Napa (54.00 /side;inner and outer w/race and seal).

The shafts are 35 spline inner but they neck down at the flange end and at the spline end. Very strange they are not the same dia the length of the axle!

I don't know how this stacks up against the GM. But I thought I would pass it along.

i run 1990s dodge d60.
they are narrower wheel to wheel, least they are narrower then the 44 it replaced
and
wider perch to perch
then the chev d60
1.5" 35 spline inner axles that are fair bit thicker in the body of the shafts. can post image if you like as my axle is mostly disassembled right now
pretty sure everything knuckles out is exactly the same as chev
