Good deal?

Not HC so figure that I may get flammed but oh well.

Buddy of mine is selling his rig and it is tempting to me for $3500.

Here are the specs i am aware of off hand:
85 Toy P/U
22RE with the got propane kit.
All Pro Crossover steering with ******* Ram hydro assist.
Custom front diff cover
3" springs front and rear
Spools F/R with 30 spline longs front
Marlin 4.7 gears in the case
4.88's in the axles
All Pro Flat bed kit
Tube doors.
Drive flanges on the front
39.5 radial iroks on black rock crawlers
Tube front bumper with stinger and warn m8000 winch

The bad is he bought it back in the day from Philly so the frame has some rust under the cab and the front has a few cracks, but they are repairable.

The rig has been beat on and rolled so the cab is beat up. Needs a exo to the front and in my opinion some 37" stickies and then just beat the piss outta it.

Do yall think this is a good deal or just put the money into the rig I have?

Thanks

Sounds like you have your mind made up, now go post on TTORA :rainbow:
meh, $3500 does seem like too much if the cab is all beat up.

I'd say like $2700.
go for it. i have been looking for a while for a 85 truck.
If you don't like the truck, swap all the parts in to something else, if your cool with it, beat it up some more.
It's actually an 84 with the propane conversion, and it also has a warn 8000lb winch, and lot's of custom body work. Also, I think they're 4.5" Marlin leafs,(Marlin Ultimate Kit, consists of doing everything right: new hangers, moving axle forward 2", etc.)
if you took the tires, longs and the winch off. its worth about $700
what you gunna do with 2 rigs jeff? if you want you can buy kanes and sell me the longs the bed and the case and I will even give you the stock parts to replace. as a matter of fact ive still got the stock case that came out of that truck. i think i deserve a little cut out of it since i did drive 72 hours acrros country to pick it up.
Assuming all the extras you listed on the truck work, it would cost you about same or more than what he is asking to buy the same stuff and put it on a new truck with a clean body and that’s not including the cost of a truck and your time and effort to custom fit and install everything. So as I see it your really buying a rolling chasse that needs a new cab a cage and some minor fixes. So make sure you add in the cost and effort of all the repairs and mods you said you need to do to it to your friends cost and see if that’s what your willing to pay. If so go for it!

I picked up this one from a friend for $1,500. The only major thing I have had to fix was the engine everything else worked so the rest has been spent on upgrades and undoing 1990s idea of aftermarket mods. (its a before pic I dont havent taken any recent ones)
