I am looking to buy some wheels and want a backspacing that makes them stick out noticeabley, but nothing ridiculous or too hard on my bearings. I will be getting 16x10 wheels so what is the backspacing on what you guys are running.
I have never had one, but this is what I'd do. Get them with the same back-space as stock, that way the extra 3" will be on the outside. Not too far out, and since the weight will be almost centered in the wheel it shouldn't kill your bearings too fast. Of course this depends on what size tire you want to run and if they'll even fit.
if you want the bearings to last, try a nutral backspacing. (aka: 15x8 with 4", 15x10 with 5" etc). You just have to watch out and make sure that the tires wont hit the control arms. Also the further the tire sticks out, the worse the scrub radius, making it harder turn, and giving you more clearence issues.
I run a 15x8 with 3 5/8" bs and 126k on my wheel bearings. 74k of that is with the lift and tires.
