For a daily driver - great... to build for the trail - not so great...

I am out here on the east coast and don't have much use for a hard core crawler and it would be a daily river for the old lady for mild trail use.

Man there are a ton of them on autotrader.com. And if you are looking for an IFS rig, why an 86? I would look for the '89 with the 3.0L V6.

I know of a nice 87 for sale in MD. It is red.

I know the price is kinda up there for what it is. I can also get a 83 for a grand in descent shape.

Well I should be getting the truck this week. It is an 82. I have done a search and with everyone having different opinions on springs and lift.
1. 44044 how much lift and flex?
2. Chevy's, How much lift and flex, also how far forward on the front hangers. 9".10"or 11"? I've heard all three.
The bed will come of and be replced with a flat bed and then exo with dual transfer. And I did the search and to many opinions so please from someone running this setup.

Well that daily driver turned out to be a bung.
Frank. I would love to do a SAS on the 93 but when I can get this 82 and build it for so much cheaper and have two trucks, maybe later. Are you going to run the 44044 and chevy's. I can't make heads or tails outta what everyone is saying. I want at least 5" outta this truck and just want to make sure that is what I will get. I just want an honest opinion from someone who is running it.
