I have a magellan roadmate 1700 GPS that I am hoping to use for KOH if we are fortunate to advance thru the LCQ. I would love a bling lowrance, but $$$$ is already stretched thin.Does anyone know if this unit will support the course file we download at checkin? I have seen some software that runs these and other GPS on a its own operating system designed for offroad travel, and don't know if this is necessary or if it will even work. here's link to the software:
