I have a 96 GC with airbags on both sides(drivers, passenger) I was woundering if i am able to disconnect them or if anyone knows how hard of a hit it'll take to send them off. I m worried when im wheeling if i smack a rock there gunna burst open and smash my face.

IIRC 15 mph is the min speed to set them off.

Easiest way to disable them would be to unplug the two sensors behind the front bumper. Should have yellow tags on them

just make sure the battery is disconnected, you run the risk of setting them off if it arcs.

the airbag sensors usually require a delta 20mph to be set off. so you would have to be going 20mph and come to an immediate stop to reach the minimum triggering specs. if you hit a rock doing 20 youre gonna want em. and you'll be refabbing some metal. i suggest you leave them active...
