What i.d. line size did you run from the box to the cylinder?

I've seen both 1/4" and 3/8". I was wondering if there was any noticable differences. I'm looking at either a 1.5"bore Columbus cyl. or a Chief cyl. The Columbus has 3/8" ports where as the Chief as 1/4" ports.
Any thoughts???

Well here is how I look at it. I'm going to TAP my box 1/4"npt like Scott did, so I will run 1/4" hose, 3' only $5.99 x2 1.5" x8" ram aprox $65 + tax & S&H so I should be into it for what, less then $100!!!!!!!! not bad <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

What type of pump are you going to use?? Do you have to do any other type of mods to the steering box?? <IMG SRC="smilies/usa.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/usa.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/usa.gif" border="0">

hey tom, i met you at the pocono trail fest. i had the fj-60 and was hanging out with the unimog guys.

did you totally fry your steering or was it just the front seal? i would think rich tyler would have what you need for the hydraulic setup.

Dave.. your the guy with the FJ60 right?
I did fry the seals out of the box at Paragon. I have a seal kit on order now and I'm pretty sure the bearing are just about shot in my pump, there's a ton of play in the pulley. I talked with Rich about his setup on his cruiser. I have to decide weather to use my V6 pump or try an adapt a GM pump sum how. Its bow season here in Pa., so I'm kinda burnin' the wick at both ends.
