Has anyone seen a canvas type soft shell cover for a pickup??? i have been looking for someone that makes them with no luck
Thanks! I checked those out and I don't want to spend $725 plus. I'm looking for something to keep some rain off but not concerned with good looks etc.
I saw a Military lookin one in Placerville but don't know who it was.
Easy, get some 1 inch pipe or square tubing, whichever you prefer and make a frame with three ribs, bolt it to the bedrails, then go to a military surplus store and buy a canvas tarp and use some cord to tie the bottom around the frame....
I think it's a good idea though (maybe do it a little more involved), at least I plan on it for my rig. Up here in rainy ass Washington you need that, and I don't like the weight or cost of fiberglass shells. Plus I need to keep all the hot bitches I drive around with dry, well from the rain at least.
Check out Johnny Lange's write-up on Wild Yoats, it is kind of brief but it will give you an idea and you can look at the pictures on the site of the finished product.
