How can I reduce the hc level in my 93 toyota 4runner? It reads 547. The allowable in my state is 151. Big difference huh.
Thanks, Jim

Idle or cruise? HC is an excessive amount of unburned fuel. It may be running too lean.(causing incomplete combustuion) Advancing the timing a couple degrees may also help

The NO and CO levels are good just the hc. There is a little rattle coming from the cat like there is something broken inside. Also seems to run a little ruff at idle and cruising speeds.
