Not really looking to do a lot of bouncing and crawling on rocks lots of Jeep trails, lots of snow runs. Looking to run 36” to maybe 37” tires 12.50 wide, on the wheels I have they are 15x8. I’m not to worried on the look of the tires sticking out. And local laws you can’t have much tire past the fender but it won’t be driven on the street much. Oh and fit on 72” wide trailer.

Stock axle width is about 48”.
I’d go 58” axles if that’s an option for you.
Your wheels will add a lil bit of extra with too. A popular swap would also be Toyota axles, they’re about 55” or so. I’ve seen a ton of flat fenders with those and they look good.

what t case you running? If still using the D18 you may need offset rear. I will be getting rid of my rear 60 inch wide offset D44 soon that I used for years with the D18 in a 2a if interested. Pm me if so. I used 2 or 2.5 BDS yj sua in my 2a offsetting the axle two inches each end to gain wb and happy with it.

I am running the D18 and was planning on a wider 44 for the rear just like you have. I am interested in what you have.

82-86 CJs are WT. But it'd probably be better in long run to go with FSJ axles tho as they may be easier to find and they'll be D44 up front versus a 30.

I've made my 30 survive behind a V8 and 35s but I wouldn't trust anything more and I'm surprised it's lasted this long.

should be wrenching or wheeling but here I be

I’m wanting to run up to 36” tires and I’m running a 4.3 v6. I can get a front 44 out of a 75 Chevy it’s just the cost of getting it narrowed.
