This has happened 3 times on 2 different pumps with 2 different cans. Both psc pumps with their reservoir, -12 feed, -8 return, -6 to the ram. The o-ring just spits out from between the pump and the can and pukes fluid out. Talked with Lance and he thought the case to the pump was cracked(high pressure in the can side)or the hose routing is pulling the can away from the pump(the pump and reservoir are both attached to the engine). After this happens I loosen the bolts and the fitting in the back, the o-ring slips back into place, tighten it all back up, top off the fluid, and everything works fine again. I should add that this is sporadic, could happen next trail ride or next season:confused: One time it happened I was getting on it, the other 2 times there was no significant event. Any help is appreciated.

I've seen guys put a big hose clamp around the outside of the can (right over the O-ring) probably for the same reasons, this does not solve what ever is causing the issue, but my fix the leaking problem for you,

I really don't think the remote can is very stout around the O-ring like the "ham can" is, or less stout I should say,

Maybe just popping the relief, or a little arriation causing some small pressure in the can & pushing the o-ring out due to the weaker can?

I would change the can next time it's apart. I have had good luck with mine for 3 years, but did Crack a pump recently . I just put another stock pump on

i bet its out dimensionaly somewhere. I would replace the can, or get another and compare with precision meaurements

it's done it on 2 different cans so it's definitely something in my system. I think I may try to find a stock can and add the -12an fitting as the seal around the o-ring is just that much better. I also noticed that the inside of the filter in the reservoir was a little blown outward. Makes me a little nervous as to what might happen if I get a good enough seal around the can.

Did you ever figure out the cause of this?

I have a similar issue as well, I believe mine is from a pressure spike when I have an impact while turned.

PCS does make a pressure relief valve that I am looking into, but seriously debating just going to a tc or cbr pump.

FWIW, also check the vent line on the reservoir. I was at Bridgeport with mx_racer_36 in the Money Pit v1.0 and it puked the o-ring. Ended up the plastic vent line rubbed up against the header and melted shut. He had single ended rams at the time and it blew when he steered both axles emptying both larger cavities in the cylinders.
