Ok my project has gotten out of hand.....its almost done but i just cant finish it. Anyone in the nc sc va area that would be willing to take my jeep and finish it for me, id pay obviously, let me know. 88 jeep wrangler 383 stroker sm465 dana 300 dana 60 14 bolt. close to done need some engine work wiring work and patience which i have none of... i have all of the parts i tihink so no need to buy parts just finsih what i have.....anyone have a shop or a friend with a shop or spare time let me know!!!!!

If you built this rig to this point, you are probably just freaking yourself out over everything that still needs to be completed. I say make yourself finish the job. Don't focus on all the work that needs to be finished, but instead focus on one item for example wiring the engine, then break that down into smaller jobs like doing the ignition system, then the charging system, etc..

BTW, I would love to see some pics of your project........

Identify a day long task and finish it. (You don't have to be patient to start/finish in a day. That being said, there are days when the WTF-J wins, but for the most part I generally come out ahead.)

You'll get there one day at a time; you just have to acknowledge that these things are an incurable disease, so the goal is to get it under control.

Suggestion: Walk away from it for a day, a week or a month. I've been working on my junk since Dec 1996. It's still not on the road/trail:

I've been in the same 'boat' (many times) that you are in right now. I get one thing done, then see a dozen other things that need to be finished. When it starts to get overwhelming...Back away. Get yourself a good:

Have a:

Trust me...Once you've done that...Everything gets right.

my boss had me come in the middle of a 49 chevy pick resto after his dumb ass had dicked with it for 5 years and added a rack and pinion steering, sbc 350 fuel injection and wanted to keep everything else the same as when it rolled off the show room floor (a HUGE project for junior in college). he expected the truck to be done in a month. 6 months later, he is still waiting to order the rest of the parts....anyway, the wiring sucked, but take your time, and do it neat. that way, when you wire something wrong (which is probable when you do it the first time) you can figure it out. once its done its like taking a 80 pound ruck sack off after a 10 mile hike. restorations and similar projects are very time consuming and take a lot of patience.

you will be happy when its done and you can say YOU built it.

Just stick with it, as mentioned. I am somewhere in the middle of my build up after a year at the moment I have no job and no "play" money. I am still making very slow progress with what little bit of stuff I can do, without money coming in. Also as everyone else has said, brake the big task into little projects, makes it go by easier.
