After driving it around for awhile, everything seemed to be going good, til I started getting a few unexplained "Puffs" of smoke from under the hood.
Couldn't recreate whatever was going on while it was in my drive way, after about the 3rd day and the "Puffs" getting bigger... I noticed transmission fluid all over the PS valve cover...
At first, I looked for a temporary fix...

haha ... yeah I knew I was in trouble, opened up the radiator and the fluid was not only "Funny Colored" but was oily...
Transmission fluid in the cooling system which could only mean 1 thing...
Radiator fluid in the transmission...
Dropped the pan

Yay TH400!

Fluid Everywhere ... Filter wasn't even bolted in all the way

Drained everything, new gasket, new filter, filled liberally with fluid, disconnected the "Inlet" hose... had the wife start the truck, run for 15 seconds and shut it off...

Looked like bloody hell!
repeated those steps until fluid was nice and clear....

Explanation: Radiator fluid in the transmission would boil every time I started hauling ass to get somewhere and would spit out of the dipstick, spraying all over the motor-firewall-exhaust and transmission itself causing it to burn...
I've been told I'm going to need to get the transmission rebuilt now... great
