I bought a half finished Samurai and am now working on completing the build and need some help. My Sami has a 4.3 L vortec mated to a TH400 to a Dana 20. For those of you who have done this before, can you share with the radiator you used. Also, the stock exhaust manifold flanges end right at the framerails. I was thinking of finding a set of block huggers to solve this problem. Will this work? I am not a tremendously experienced builder so any help would be appreciated. Also, I welcome advcie on any "gotchas" that you have experienced. I have to have this thing ready by hunting season and I have a lot of work ahead of me.

Thanks
troy

These are the hedders I used and they fit good. I put my engine higher than normal so they almost touched the frame but with the engine sitting slightly lower it shouldnt be a problem. I had to knotch the pass floor a inch or two to dodge the hedder.

I bought my radiator from rock4xfab and I love it. A custom aluminum radiator shipped for about 200 was a great price. I even opted for the larger one and I made it fit under the hood. Give scott a call and tell him you are doing a 4.3 and he will hook you up.

exhaust manifolds...I used stock '95 manifolds and run side pipes.

Here is a couple older pics on how I routed the exaust

my 4.3 is sitting lower than yours (manifolds rattle against the frame when running) and my tub doesn't sit near that low. did you cut the transmission tunnel to get it to set that low? I just finished tearing mine back down over the weekend so I can figure out a better way to set my motor/trans/tc back in so my tub can be flush on the frame.
