Unless you are running a 5.0 with a blower there should be no reason to be breaking those flanges, unless you have another underlaying problem...

Like either the bolts aren't properly torqued or you are flexing the U-joint to extreem angles...

And if that's the case you'll simply break something else, like the pinion shank.

ask yourself the question "WHY are this things breaking?"
find some other answer besides "it's weak" then correct that problem first.

They're breaking because we play hard. Lots of throttle going up multiple ledges, wheels spinning bouncing lots of loading on the drivetrain. Crappy cast yoke just can't take it. I have always been hard on parts :D Doesn't help the truck weighs 6000lbs.



Not everyone shears carriers in half and strips teeth off their pinions.



Or blows their transfer case up...
