Came across this at a boneyard today. Huge PTO winch and military green original paint. 2 rear axles. Body and drivetrain long gone. Tandem driven rear axles.
Whats the scoop on the front gears? Looks like a load bolt built in.

Pinion on the right says that it needs to rotate the opposite way a normal HP diff does in order to go forward.

I forget exactly which truck/trucks it is/was that uses this setup but it's from CCKW or something about that size and vintage that uses a reverse rotation front output on the transfer case.

HP D60 for comparison.

Pics don't really show it but it is 3 link with shackles on both ends of the leaf springs. WWII or Korean war vintage. Its in NW Indiana if anyone is interested in the axles. Seems to be very little info on these on the web.
