I was making my doors removable this weekend and I wanted to use the bronze bushings. I looked all over but couldn't find 5/16" clevis pins longer than 2". While I was looking at them, there were some spring pins, like you'd use on hitches or QD's on a sway bar in 5/16" about 2 1/2" long. I bought 4 of them and they turned out great. I ran the top one up and the bottom down, and had to grind a little off the hinge bolt heads.

That's a sweet setup! Did you get the hardware at a local hardware store (ACE) or somewhere else. I'm thinking of half doors, but want to be able to put the stockers back on since the weather around here chances all the fricking time.

thats been around for a long time boys but give yourself pat on the back for figuring it out yourself. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0"> Sometimes people drill it out to 3/8 if the bushing are toast and use 3/8 hitch pins.

What did you use to get the pins out of the hinges? Did u unbolt the hinges first or do it with the doors still on the truck?
