Installing my cooler this weekend and need to make custom lines. How big ID should the lines be? Thanx

1/4 ID should be fine unless you are running the lines a long way. Be sure to use some hose that can handle the heat.

5/16 line is stock except for some corvettes, camaros and impalls ss models, they run 3/8 hard line. you should be able to pick up 5/16 steel line at your local parts store. try to run as much hard line as possible and make sure you use neoprene hose rated for atf on the rest, or you'll have a blown line on your hands in a hurry. rubber or silicone line will soften and swell if used for atf!

Please just clarify.

Are we talking ID or OD tubing. I have 1/4" Pipe Thread fittings on the tranny. It had a compression fitting screwed into it and it appeared that the hole in the fitting was 1/4" or LESS. I just want to make sure.
