Ok, i am going with chevy rears and toy rears for the front. What do i do to make a shackel? Just cut 2 peice of steel and drill 4 holes? What do i need for bushings? or what type/kind of bolts should i use. I want to do a dual setup on the rear. Anyone have a write up?

If your using stock shackle/hangar mounts, I suggest you use stock bushing or polys from a local 4x4 shop. If your not too confident and not sure whether they are the right ones or not, measure a friends truck and check against that. Shackles are pretty easy to fab. Have fun.

the front shackles are actually set off to the side
so just use two pieces of flatbar, two bolts, and some steel spacers to keep the geometry so that it can better move

i just made mine. they are out of 1/4 or 3/8 material. i made them 2 1/2 inches longer then stock. drilled four holes. i'm using 9/16 bolts that are grade 8 and they are 5 inches long. a bunch of washers and some rubber plugs i'm gonna drill out to ust for bushings between the shackles since these are going on the front. i'll put them on after i get out of this stupid work place today!
