I would say it would be a tight fit with out severly trimming the fenders and bed assumming its a truck. I have 38's and they fit good but I did have to trim the bed away along with tubbing the inside so when the tire stuffs it doesn't hit anything. Just try it and make it fit I have about the same size lift. Good luck

looked cool, but didn't wheel worth a shit.

LOTS of fender trimmin, the front fenders will nearly be cut to the top, inner fender wells gond, redrill spring pad to move axle a few more inches forward, lowered bumpstops

a while back there was a 4runner in petersons that had, i think, 40's on stock ride hight. alot of triming , as there was basically no fenders or tub left.

but i would say 7 and open the guards up a little, considering that you have the full widths they are going to sit out a little further so wont rub as much.

Cool thing is, he doesn't need any suspension travel. Get some beadlocks and let all the air out, and the sidewalls alone would travel like 2 feet.

Seriously, that seems to be a key issue with tires that big - running them with like 2-7 PSI makes them GET IT!

Funny you should ask. My runner is about to undergo major rebuild. I plan on running the15x39.5x15 TSL's. I would go 42's, but those are big suckas. I am currently gathering parts. I have a 4.3 being built, TH350, not sure what case im going to run, D60 rearFF, D60 front. I am going to probably go with AOR rear springs w/orbit eyes, custom in the front, and a 3"BL still with trimming. People rag on BL's, but oh well. I dont see any other way to make a 40" or taller tire stuff decent unless you cut your entire body off.I also plan on raising the motor/tranny/t-case up as much as pos. gonna run a fuel cell too, so no rock draging tank for me. Whats on AOR's site is tru, no matter how much suspension lift u have, you will still have stock or close to that amount of room between tire/fender assuming you run larger than stock tires.

4" suspension and 3" body. Stiff as hell springs (no flex) and some fender trimming.

The tires are 42x15-15 TSLs on 15x12 wheels with 3" backspacing.

A buddy of mine is in the process (for a long time now) of putting 44 x 19 boggers under is '82 truck. He swapped in a LT1, TH700R4, dual Toyota cases (for now), Dana 60 front and corporate 14 rear (full width on both axles). The front fenders barely exist. He cust most of them out and fabricated a tubing front section to mount his 5" lift Bronco coils and winch to. He's running 5" Alcan Toyota springs out back still, but the truck it's running yet. The rear bed has be trimmed quite a bit a well. I'll shoot some digitals this weekend for review on the board here.
