I have always wnated one of those. One day at school a dude rolled through the parking lot with one and my jaw hit the pavement. I made it my mission to find out who he is, and if he would sell. I gave up after about a week of hard core searching. I just reacently got a job delivering for Dominos Pizza when I ran across the truck in the driveway of a mobile-home at the trailer park.

I don't know if it still runs? The paint is faded, the interior has seen better days, and there is rust pretty bad in the front fenders.

How should I aproach this guy and what should I offer him... Maybe I could pay in Pizzas

Thanks
TJ

I would walk up, knock on the door, and if someone answers ask if they would be interested in selling that truck in the driveway. Dont let on that its special. If they say yes ask what they want for it. If they dont know start very low and move up to what you can afford. Good luck Ive only been chased off once for asking out of alot of times. It never hurts to ask!!!!

Trekkers dont seems to cost any more than a normal truck in the same condition. I payed $1600 for mine with 32x11.50s, 15x8 AR589s, 3" suspension lift, complete but nasty interior, and a weber carb.

It was the for runner to the 1st gen 4Runner. Modified by Winnibago I beleive. It had a glass cap on it, and rear seats.

Find out if it runs, find out if they want to sell it, then drive it if possible, and then come up with a price. Front fenders are cheap, if that is the only rust it has. Keep me posted on what you find out-if you find out they want to sell, and you aren't interested, I may be! I love those things!

I bought my 82 Trailblazer(similar to a trekker, but made by a different company) for $1650 in pretty good shape. I guess they don't go for any more than a pickup, but they are way cool.

that 79' is kinda cool

do a major lift, sas, and big tires and a flat bed. and a 22re. that would be a sweet rig!

A buddy of mine got an 83 TrailBlazer (same thing as a Trekker) for a grand. It ran, but needed a lot of little things worked, oil pump leaking, rebuild the front axle, etc.
