Don't Sell that work of art, you'll be sorry. You've got so much time and labor into that Toy, That you can't put a real price on it. Have you tried Blue Booking it out as if it was Stock and then adding half the price in materials for each of the mods? Sorry labor just doesn't mean much in vehicle worth to most people.

I'm with the others and hope you can figure out a way not to sell it cause you will get fawked big time...absolutely no way to get most of your $$$ back out of it. You've got an very custom truck that only a very few people would want and a very short time frame to sell in...can you say firesale You'll be lucky to get 50% of the material costs back out of it.

Sucks, I've been in that position and your options are very limited. Do you use this for your daily driver? If not sell your driver. If it is, consider that even in a worst case you still need transportation and even in bankrupcy they would let you keep it.

Do you have other assets to sell that you don't have the emotional committment to even if you'll take a bigger loss? What about your house, is that owned? Even if you miss 4 or 5 months of mortgage payments you can usually work something out with the mortgage co. when you get another job or when you sell the house. Don't make the mistake of borrowing everything, credit card advances etc just to make your house payments. I did that once in Hawaii, spending money I didn't have to fix the house up to sell...ended up loseing over $60k and I should have just walked away from it 6 or 8 months prior.

Good Luck!

Rent out a room on that huge house! Looks like you had a good job what ever it was.
But u cant sell that truck. Finding someone who knows what u did to it will be hard, and getting any type of money out of it will be harder.

I know I won't get much more than blue book. This truck would only sell to someone who wants to rock crawl it. Not a grocery getter.

Yes, it is my daily driver, I have another car, need to build a motor for it and guess I could sell it after that.

Actually that is my dad's house, I already rent . I was thinking about going back to school too. So, I will probably put it out on the market, and if I can't get out what I ask, then I will keep it. I can make the payments on it right now, but after all, it is only $$$$$ right?

Thanks for all the support, I really don't want to sell it, and I know I will hate myself for it, so I guess I will see how it goes.

get a 'spell-checker' Ross.

DUDE........da truck? iz da bomb. I love it.
Everyone is way right. Unfortunately, we sometimes need $$. Hopefully, you could look into removing the reason for needing THAT much dough?
I got laid off in July, was makin PHAT $$, and before i sold my 2 yotas, i dumpped literally another treasure first.......
A 68 SuperSport ElCamino! Now those dont get "seen" around the pavement everyday!
I had MEGA dollars into it, mega hours labor, owned it for thirteen years, built it myself, ground-up restoration n shit, but it had to go. Before my 4x4 rigs. Mostly the gas cost was causing me never to be able to putt it, they way "it liked to be driven" anyway. And, i still have yet to be re-employed. It is a tough one, but unless your tired of that rig in general, your KNUTS ta dump it, cuz that'd be the case, you'd hafta "dumpit" to let it go, no real compensation fer the luv ya put into it.

Happy trails, man.

BTW, its worth.......what you can get for it.

Thanks for the insight and the support guys. It is really hard to decide.

I have managed to get enough mechanic work to keep me a float. I am actually keeping quite busy. Really sucks though, I work like 12+ hours a day, but heh, to keep my runner, it is worth it.

I acually have a couple leads on some computer jobs within the next couple weeks. If one of them goes though, I will be free and clear. And the first thing I am going to do is pay off my runner, so next time this happens, I don't have to worry.

Again, thanks, and my 4runner is safe for now.
